Service Coordinator – General Application

Are you passionate about developing relationships and influencing the customer’s experience by coordinating service work and communicating throughout the entire process? We’re looking for an organized and personable individual to manage the service process and promote the Vermeer Canada brand through ensuring timely and quality service work.

What you’ll do

  • Provide front-line assistance to customers on all service-related issues
  • Manage the service process, including work orders, scheduling technicians and communicating with customers
  • Obtain required parts from inventory and/or raise purchase requisition
  • Assigns technician to perform diagnostic; advises customer as to issue, costs and expected completion
  • Ensure technician work areas, equipment yard and service reception area are safe and organized
  • Prepare estimates of recommended service repairs and present to the customer
  • Monitor detail aging/outstanding claims, compares credits received to submitted claims, effects necessary data input and account reconciliations, follows up on short payments/discrepancies, and challenges rejected warranty claims with manufacturer(s), as applicable, ensuring satisfactory conclusions
  • Monitor and ensure progress on all service maintenance intervals
  • Monitor machine health in Fleet on a consistent basis
  • Liaise with factory personnel on service and parts issues and update service reference manuals/ parts guides as needed
  • Ensure completion of all factory bulletins
  • Authorize warranty write-offs within certain limitations, obtaining prior approval, if necessary
  • Close warranty work orders, entering/reconciling technician reports and ensuring the receipt of applicable credits and/or the provisions of any purchase orders

Sales Coordinator – Brampton, ON

Are you the type of person who thrives in the details? In this role you will coordinate Vermeer Canada’s requisitioning, transport, inventory receipt, and movement relative to all equipment sales and rentals. We’re looking for someone with strong organizational and communication skills to meet the needs of our customers.

What you will do

  • Partners with Sales Representatives and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) contacts to initiate equipment orders and related attachments based on executed sales contracts or evaluates current company inventory for suitable alternatives.
  • Creates and manages purchase orders within Oracle EBS, accurately entering equipment movements, pricing, item codes, and serial/tag numbers upon receipt of factory invoices.
  • Ensures accurate and timely data entry and equipment recordkeeping in Salesforce, maintaining visibility on unit availability, status, and delivery timelines for internal teams and customers.
  • Coordinates with Sales, Finance, and customers to fulfill credit requirements and ensure proper documentation is in place prior to order fulfillment.
  • Tracks and reconciles all sales and rental transactions through detailed cost analysis worksheets, accounting for trade-ins, freight, PDI (pre-delivery inspection), warranties, and commissions to determine transaction profitability.
  • Prepares monthly and YTD commission reports in Salesforce and/or Excel based on finalized transactions, ensuring all payments are backed by proper documentation, funds received, and applicable deductions.
  • Compiles and submits weekly manufacturer reports related to parts sales and supports the preparation of lender reporting documents such as borrowing certificates.
  • Provides frontline support to the Sales team by distributing updated price lists, equipment status reports, lead times, and marketing materials; assists with Salesforce reporting and customer-facing documentation.
  • Serves as a key point of contact for inbound calls, document management, and general administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations and customer service excellence.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies, procedures, and occupational health and safety standards.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience in equipment or supply chain distribution, preferably within the heavy equipment or construction industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Regional Manager – Ontario

The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing operations, driving sales, and ensuring business growth within their region while fostering relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

What you will do

  • In compliance with the Company’s overall Strategic direction, develops and implements the region’s sales programs, projecting individual sales, service and parts targets, volumes and profit margins
  • Monitors plans to actual results on an ongoing basis; effects corrective measures and/or any adjustments to goals and direction, if necessary
  • Reviews and/or approves all related and pertinent documentation and reports; ensures the timely and accurate transmittal of all required material to Finance/Administration, including payables and receivables

What You Will Do

  • Establish and maintain customer accounts by managing work schedules and itineraries to call on current and prospective customers.
  • Ensure sales presentations, quotes and orders meet customer needs and Vermeer Canada requirements. Oversee the entire pre-sale and after-sale process, providing timely follow-ups.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns by investigating problems and providing solutions that will add value to their operations, providing exceptional customer service and growing the Vermeer brand in the territory.
  • Analyze market trends, sales forecasts and business plans, manage customer-related data, assist in the development and implementation of marketing programs, assist in trade shows or similar company functions, as required.
  • Contributes to team success by assisting or referring to other representatives as needed and supporting Vermeer’s overall objectives.
  • Demonstrate equipment to customers, providing comprehensive information on operating, servicing, warranty, and parts.
  • Submit complete and timely information reports, including MOT requirements, call reports, prospect lists, work plans, expense submissions, vehicle reports, etc.
  • Maintain a professional presence, ensuring a positive brand representation in the field and in meetings.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on health and safety requirements.

Branch Manager – Calgary, AB

Are you passionate about developing relationships and influencing the aftermarket customer experience? We’re looking for a leader to support a team who is eager to drive exceptional customer experience while maintaining profitable parts and service operations. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and profitable operation of all branch activities. In addition to reporting all financial and operations information to company management, this candidate is responsible for hiring, training, and dismissing any employees at the branch. 

What you will do

  • Develop and engage talent through relevant training programs and coaching opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain quality supplier relationships to ensure parts inventory requirements are being met.
  • Ensure all facilities, including technician work areas and the equipment yard are maintained in an orderly and safe manner.
  • Facilitate budgeting processes, including projecting sales and profit margins.
  • Monitor profit and loss statements to ensure key performance indicators are being met.
  • Identify operational deficiencies an implement plans for improvement.

Field Service Technician – Acheson, AB

Are you passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience by troubleshooting on the jobsite and maintaining a variety of Vermeer and other heavy equipment? We’re looking for a self-starter who enjoys hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures or malfunctions in the field to reduce customer downtime
  • Test repaired equipment for performance and reliability
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on all customer equipment
  • Review factory service bulletins and other pertinent information to ensure equipment is up to date
  • Convey a professional presence, ensuring problems are tactfully explained and customer relations are satisfied
  • Ensure problems are tactfully explained and the customer is satisfied
  • Prepare job estimates in accordance with work schedules and promised completion dates, effects necessary mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic repairs, as required
  • Maintain a familiarity with the practical operation of all equipment

  • Maintains and leaves all work areas clean, unobstructed, in a safe and orderly working condition

  • Attends and participates in toolbox/safety meetings

What we are looking for

Product Support Representative – Acheson, AB

Are you passionate about providing customers and team members technical support on all matters related to horizontal directional drilling (HDD)? We’re looking for a leader to develop relationships and influence the aftermarket customer experience by generating parts, service, and sales business in the HDD market within the territory.

What you will do

  • As a member of an account management team; regularly visits established customers and develops new contacts to promote and increase parts, service and sales activities, including maintenance contracts and special offerings
  • Provides product and technical support for HDD, including tooling, drilling fluids, and locating systems; participates in the relative selling function
  • Provides product field training and demonstrations to both, external and internal customers
  • Communicates with Vermeer Corporation support staff to provide customer solutions on operational problems or concerns; resolves any related issues
  • Assists in the development of marketing programs, sales forecasts and business plans; prepares reports on competitive products; monitors and advises lost sales opportunities; prepares weekly activity reports
  • As required, performs a variety of related duties, i.e.  Assisting in trade shows, delivery of special orders, advising changes to customers account designations/equipment, and as requested by management
  • Conveys a professional presence at all times
  • Ensures that applicable MOT requirements are observed, including the completion of daily logs and trip inspections as required
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, notably Health & Safety requirements
  • Increase parts and service support and sales with particular emphasis on tooling, locating equipment, drilling fluid products, MI Swaco, Right Turn Supply and Sherrill products.
  • To develop parts and service business with Vermeer and Non-Vermeer customers.
  • To understand the competitive market with respect to tooling, locating equipment, drilling fluid products and Sherrill equipment and translate this information into appropriate Vermeer Canada pricing.
  • To develop “merchandising” programs for HDD equipment.
  • Help develop and promote maintenance agreements for all types of equipment.
  • Daily use of CRM to schedule and record customer interactions

What we are looking for

  • Must have valid heavy truck license or be willing to obtain this. 
  • Experience with the operation of heavy equipment is an asset.
  • Excellent customer skills.
  • Mechanically inclined. Heavy equipment journeyman ticket would be an asset.
  • Must be technically motivated to provide application support.
  • Comfortable with delivering presentations.
  • Must be proficient in using all types of hardware and software that the Company makes available
